Jesse Carey orally commits to Villanova :
Jesse Carey, from Germantown Academy, orally committed to play basketball for Villanova for the 2009-2010 season, according to ESPN's Hoopgurlz. Carey is also the second player from the Philadelphia area this week to commit to Villanova. The 5-foot-10 guard joins fellow Philly Belles club team member Devon Kane. Along with Kane, she gives Villanova depth at guard to compete with the top of the Big East in year's to come.
GA finished the 2008 / 2009 season undefeated and ranked in the nation.

Alexa Gallagher
Alexa Gallagher, a 6-1 forward who plays for Germantown Academy near Philadelphia gave DePaul women's coach Doug Bruno a verbal commitment Wednesday.
Gallagher, a standout for the Philadelphia Belles said that she "knew" after making an unofficial visit to DePaul before Bruno left to go overseas as an assistant coach for Team USA, which won the women's world championship on Sunday.
"I really enjoyed the players and the coaches and knew that [DePaul] was the right place for me," Gallagher said. "And being from Philly, I like being in a big city."
Gallagher, the second player DePaul has landed in the Class of 2015 joining Whitney Young point guard Chanise Jenkins, plans to make an official visit to Chicago before the November signing date.

Deja Rawls. Nicole Munger.
SOL fans will be hearing those names a whole lot over the next four years.
Rawls, Abingtons freshman point guard, has averaged close to 10 points a game in the Ghosts 5-1 start this season, while also providing floor leadership.
Deja has the innate ability to know when to take over and to know when her teammates need her, coach Dan Marsh said. Shes unselfish, and she tries to involve everyone else early, and when we falter, she can take over.
By February, she could be one of the better players around.
Munger is playing point guard for Central Bucks West, and the diminutive freshman already has an 18-point effort and a 16-point performance.
Shes one of the few kids I have ever coached I would pay to watch practice, West coach Terry Rakowsky said. She plays one way hard.
She just plays with unbelievable heart, and shes highly skilled. When she walks onto the floor not necessarily because of her skill, but because she has so much heart shes a leader.
